Certainly everybody know the official mobile edition of Gmail available at m.gmail.com. Recently I was receiving lot of emails from people asking about Pocket Gmail, an open source project based on libgmailer and which have been discontinued after the official release of Gmail for mobile. Pocket Gmail
is still available online on our servers, and I'm keeping the service
available for the main reason that I use it for my personal emails.
Certainly the official Gmail mobile offer all the necessary features
to check email from mobile phones, but I had always difficulties
especially for discussions where I have always to check inside the
discussion then click on the unread message to read it, while in Pocket
Gmail the latest ones are displayed by default and all the discussion
is collapsed. I find also the welcome page more neat, displaying by
default the folders and labels with unread message, while Gmail mobile
take you directly to your inbox. Anyway, I would love to hear more
feedbacks from you concerning the different Gmail mobile editions.
